Marine castings, Valve casting, Pump Casting bronzes are also called as 'phosphor bronzes' due to the presence of small amount (0.01–0.5%) of phosphorous used as deoxidizer in casting. The wrought alloys usually contain 1–10% tin. Copper containing up to about 6% tin are soft alloys whereas those containing more than 6% tin are hard.
